Give the launch a defined scope

Agree the branches, order types, catalogue, fees, app distribution and verification provider included in the first launch. Assign someone to approve incoming orders, someone to manage fulfilment and someone to resolve customer questions. A polished website is only one part of a working business setup.

Check the customer journey on real devices

Open the ordering website on a phone and a computer. Create a test account, complete registration verification, sign in with a password and try password recovery. Add different variants and add-ons, remove a coupon and test an invalid one. Check unavailable items, fee waivers and the final order total.

Run the operational journey

Place a clearly marked test order. Confirm that it waits for approval and is absent from the fulfilment queue until approved. Move it through preparation and ready. Complete a collection flow and a delivery flow, recording cash payment appropriately. Test cancellation before approval and a business-managed cancellation afterwards.

Verify communication through the real workflow

Grant notification permissions on the test device. Check an order-status change and a campaign from the manager workflow, including when the app is in the background. Confirm that the in-app record remains accessible. Test the configured verification provider separately; do not assume a successful OTP proves that push notifications are ready.

Prepare for recovery

Check team access, password recovery, backups and the process for restoring data. Document how the team pauses online ordering and marks a sold-out item. Make sure someone knows how to respond if the verification provider disconnects or a device loses network access. Rehearse safely with test data, not real customer orders.

Launch with a review loop

Begin with a scope your team can operate confidently. Review the first orders, customer questions and failed attempts, then adjust supported settings from the platform. Keep a record of what changed and verify it across the website and app. Native software changes still need their own tested release.
