Key points
- It is your console in an app: the same pages and the same permissions.
- A push arrives for every new order, only for people allowed to see orders.
- Each closing report is a saved snapshot that counts only money actually received.
Your console, in your pocket
The manager app is an Android app that opens your restaurant's console. Everything a person can do in the console on a computer, they can do in the app, with the same permissions. A bottom bar gives quick access to home, orders, menu and kitchen.
- Phone numbers, WhatsApp and map links open in the phone's own apps.
- Exports open the phone's share sheet, so a report can be sent on straight away.
- If the connection drops, the app says so and retries by itself every 20 seconds.
- The Android back button closes the menu first, then goes back.
Notifications that respect roles
- New order: one notification per order. Tapping it opens that order.
- Open and close reminders: at 09:00 to open order-taking and 23:30 to close it, in the branch's local time, at most once a day per branch.
- Closing report ready: tapping it opens the report.
Each notification goes only to phones whose user is still active, still signed in and allowed to see it: order alerts need permission to read orders, reminders need permission to open and close the branch, and reports need access to analytics. Branch staff only hear about their own branch. The same check runs again just before sending, so someone removed a minute ago is not notified. Signing out of the app unregisters the phone.
A closing report for every day
A closing report is saved in two cases: when the day's last closing time in the branch's hours passes, and whenever staff switch order-taking off. Each report covers the day from its opening time and is stored as a snapshot that does not change afterwards.
- Orders, paid orders, unpaid orders and cancelled orders.
- Gross sales, discounts, net sales, fees, refunds and cash collected.
Only money actually received during the period is counted. Unpaid and cancelled orders appear in the counts but never in the revenue.
Kept up to date
Because the app shows the live console, most improvements reach managers without an app update. Changes to the app itself can be delivered over the air to compatible versions, and applied only after the app has been in the background for a while, never in the middle of a shift. If a version is too old, the app asks the user to update.
